Professor The Lord Darzi of Denham
Professor Darzi holds the Paul Hamlyn Chair of Surgery at Imperial College London, the Royal Marsden Hospital and the Institute of Cancer Research. He is Director of the Institute of Global Health Innovation at Imperial College London and Chair of Imperial College Health Partners. He is an Honorary Consultant Surgeon at Imperial College Hospital NHS Trust. His research is directed towards achieving best surgical practice through innovation in surgery, enhancing patient safety and the quality of healthcare.

Professor Noriko Suzuki:
Honorary Consultant Endoscopist, St Mark's The National Bowel Hospital
Chair: Professor The Lord Darzi of Denham
Dr Noriko Suzuki has been a member of the staff at St Marks since 1998 and an honorary consultant specialist endoscopist since 2004. Dr Suzuki trained in medicine at Osaka City University and completed specialist training in Japan. Her specialist interests include the prevention, diagnosis and endoscopic management of early colorectal cancer. She has a particular interest in complex therapeutic endoscopy such as endoscopic submucosal dissection.

Dr Sylvain Gioux is the Director of Imaging Research at Intuitive Surgical in the research and development department located in the EU headquarter (Aubonne, Switzerland). Specifically, the R&D department in Aubonne is focused on the design & translation of novel imaging & vision solutions and the evaluation of their potential in future products. He is also responsible for managing technical research collaborations in Europe with a focus on optics & imaging and interfacing with the European innovation ecosystem.

Dr Kee Park is a consultant for the World Health Organization and serves on the WHO Expert Advisory Panel on Surgical Care and Anesthesia. In this capacity, he advocates for and assists in the development of national surgical plans by the Member States. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery, a member of the Advisory Committee for the Foundation of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies, member of the National Committee on North Korea, and member of Council of Korean Americans.

Prof. Metin Sitti is the President of Koç University in Istanbul, Turkey since fall 2023. Beforehand, he was the director of the Physical Intelligence Department at Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Stuttgart, Germany (2014-2023), professor at ETH Zurich in Switzerland (2020-2024), honorary professor at University of Stuttgart, Germany since 2017, tenured professor at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, USA (2002-2014), and a research scientist at UC Berkeley, USA (1999-2002).
