Professor Thiusius Rajeeth Savarimuthu received his Ph.D. degree in Robotics and Embedded Medical Vision in 2011. In 2005 he received his B.Sc. degree in Computer System Engineering and his M.Sc. in Computer System Engineering at the University of Southern Denmark in 2007. He is currently working as a full professor at the Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Institute at the University of Southern Denmark, where he is heading the Medical Robotics group and is vice section head for SDU Robotics. He has conducted research in both national and international research projects. His research interests include medical AI, hardware acceleration of image processing algorithms and control of medical robotic systems. He is appointed Head of Research at Centre for Clinical Robotics. He has published more than 95 peer-reviewed research publications and 7 patents with 3 more pending. Furthermore, he started 2 spin-off companies based on this research.
