Stefano Puliatti is 35 years old, works as Consultant Urologist at the Urology Department of the University Hospital (AOU) of Modena, and is also a University Researcher at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. He obtained a degree in Medicine and a specialization in Urology at the University of Modena. Then he moved to Belgium where he carried out a clinical and research fellowship at OLV – Hospital under the guidance of Prof. Alexandre Mottrie, one of the pioneers and leading world experts in robot-assisted surgery. For about 3 years he held the position of Medical Director of Orsi Academy (Melle, Belgium), considered the most important robotic surgery training center worldwide. His surgical activity is focused on robot-assisted minimally invasive surgery for the treatment of malignant and benign urological pathologies. His research activity is focused on uro-oncology, on the application of new technologies for the diagnosis and treatment of urological pathologies and on training in minimally invasive surgery. He has published more than 100 scientific papers in the most prestigious urological journals and numerous book chapters. He is a reviewer for several scientific journals. He holds the role of OCERT Advisory Board member. OCERT (The “ORSI Consensus on European Robotic Training”) is a non-profit company that aims to create valid, effective robotic training programs. He is a full member of the Urotechnology Working Group of the YAU (EAU Young Academic Urologists), a group made up of European urologists under 40 who have demonstrated value in the scientific field. Dr. Puliatti is also a member of the Educational Committee in the Robotic Surgery section of the Italian Association of Endourology (IEA) and a member of the Scientific Office – Training and Education Committee of the Italian Society of Urology (SIU). He holds the teaching of Interdisciplinary Sciences in the degree course of Obstetrics and holds the teaching of Systematic Pathologies in the Degree course in Medicine and Surgery of the University of Modena. Since 2022, he has the national scientific qualification to be professor of second level urology.
