Peter Hertz graduated from the University of Copenhagen in 2016. Before Medical School Peter had a career in the Danish Defense working with training and education of medics. As a doctor, Peter has experience in thoracic and gastrointestinal surgery. Besides his interest in surgery, Peter is active in research of surgical education and has more than 10 years of experience in medical simulation training. Peter is the course director for minimal invasive education in the Region of Southern Denmark at SimC SimulationCenter Odense. Peter is currently finishing his PhD in the development of robotic surgery curricula. He is currently working on robotic-assisted surgery projects with validity evidence for skills assessment, the development of training models from patient scans and 3D prints, and simulation training. Peter is affiliated with the Hospital Lillebaelt, the University of Southern Denmark, and Copenhagen Academy for Medical Education and Simulation (CAMES).
